TIME’s World’s Best Companies 2023: TIME, the famous magazine, has just dropped its list of the world’s best 100 companies for 2023. Only one Indian company has made it into the top 100, and that’s Infosys, the veteran IT firm. Infosys sits at the 64th spot out of a total of 750 global companies in the list. Back in 2020, Infosys became India’s second-largest IT company, boasting a workforce of over 3 lakh employees worldwide.
Now, let’s check out the big players:
According to TIME magazine, the top four companies globally are Microsoft, Apple, Google’s Alphabet, and Facebook’s Meta.
Indian companies also make their mark in the top 750:
Besides Infosys, seven more Indian companies have earned a spot in the top 750 list. Wipro, another veteran IT player, holds the 174th position. Anand Mahindra’s Mahindra Group is at 210th place. Reliance Industries also made the cut, securing the 248th spot. HCL Technologies came in at 262nd place, while HDFC Bank is at 418th place. WNS Global Services sits at 596th place, and ITC is at 672nd place in this prestigious list.
How do they make this list?
TIME magazine compiles its list of the world’s best companies based on employee satisfaction and feedback. They analyze three years’ worth of data from these companies. Only companies with revenues of at least 100 million dollars and positive growth between 2020 and 2022 are considered for inclusion in the list.
